Professional practice training is generally delivered via group seminars, which focus on the needs of the particular design area – this includes courses to meet the needs of interior designers, graphic designers or designer makers. Membership development is a key area for organisations in order to increase professionalism and sustain and build membership. Assistance here is in development of organisational strategies along with development of materials for members. Surgeries are an effective way to provide short bursts of design related business advice and this service is offered through a number of organisations.
